The weather in New England suddenly gotten so disappointing in the past two days: we got 3-4 inches of SNOW yesterday in Wellesley, MA! So to make myself feel better by thinking of tropical places, I decided to write about this place I’ve been dreaming of visiting for a really really long time.
St. Lucia, an island country, is on the eastern part of the Caribbean Sea and is part of the Lower Antilles. It was first settled by the French in 1660 and became independent in 1979. St. Lucia is one of the most popular places for honeymoons as well as family trips. This leads me to share this amazing place with you!
Jade Mountain in St. Lucia was designed by Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy with a purpose in mind: building in harmony with nature. This place is seriously one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen (sadly, only in pictures)!
It’s such an experience to stay at Jade Mountain with its infinity pools open platform rooms opening right into the mesmerizing view of the mountainous St. Lucia. Private bridges lead to each suite, so no worries about anyone intruding on your ultimate relaxation experience.
You can reserve one of these sanctuaries for rates from 950 to 2700 dollars depending on the season. The hotel also hosts weddings for free but only celebrates one wedding each day so that the couple will be guaranteed special treatment on the most romantic day of their lives.
Jade Mountain is also famous for its restaurants and Caribbean cuisine. The hotel is very accommodating towards different culinary options; there is a grill by the beach so you wouldn’t even have to walk more than a couple steps, and there is a wholly vegetarian restaurant. Most of their food is locally grown and organic so you know you’re getting the best!
